Peter Canavan

One of Gaelic football¹s great stars of recent times, Peter Canavan talks

to Padraig Coyle on this edition of the Gael games podcast.

Peter, who won almost every honour in the game, has been retired from inter

county football for a couple of seasons though not before winning two All

Ireland senior medals for Tyrone.  He’s still deeply involved in the sport

as a manager with Errigal Ciaran as well as being part of the coaching staff

at Holy Trinity College, Cookstown.

In this interview, Peter talks about the enjoyment he gets from coaching at

vocational colleges level as well as giving his views on the debate about

the perceived dangers that Gaelic football is under from Australian Rules.
